The Bad Monkey Story
Other than their funny graphic tees, what I really enjoy from Glarkware is the stories that follow every T-shirt they made. For instance, the story of Bad Monkey T-shirt:
Let’s say you’re a monkey. You live in a zoo. Every day, a bunch of gomers shows up to stand outside your crib and gawk at you when you’re just trying to eat your banana in peace, for Christ’s sake. One day, some goober in a white coat shows up and teaches you, among other things, what it means to raise your middle finger at someone. Is it nice? No. Is it very often necessary, given your circumstances? Hell, yes. Is it charming? Of course it is. He thinks he’s people! But don’t point — he’ll flip you off.
